LSAMP BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, & PHYSICS BREEZE

The CSULA LSAMP Program is offering intense BREEZE workshops in BIOL 100A, BIOL 340, CHEM 101, CHEM 301A, and PHYS 211 or PHYS 101 for 10 days from September 8-21, 2009. The deadline to apply for the Breeze Workshops is Thursday, August 27, 2009 by 5 PM. Students who have preregistered for these courses for Fall Quarter, 2009 will be emailed (at their CSULA email address) information about BREEZE workshops and information about the academic and financial benefits that come from participation. The workshop begins at 10 AM in BIOS Building - Room 244 on September 8. Bring a calculator to complete the pre-assessment test.

MATH 102/103 PRECALCULUS BOOT CAMP

MATH 102/103 PRECALCULUS BOOT CAMP [July 6 - August 21, 2009] is run by Dr. Sharri Kornblum for new CSULA STEM freshmen with the goal of placement into MATH 103 (the precalculus course) or MATH 206 (first calculus course) for Fall Quarter 2009.

LSAMP 2009-2010 Program Application forms have already been emailed to all continuing LSAMP students who participated in the program in 2008-2009. New students who wish to apply to the program should email their full name and their email address (that they check regularly) to lsamp@exchange.calstatela.edu with the subject line "NEW LSAMP STUDENT". We will then email you the application form (most of which must be typed) with detailed instructions. You may also come by the program office (BIOS 210 via 212) and leave your name and email address. We will email you the materials within a couple of days. Since our fall quarter does not start until September 24, 2009, the deadline to apply has been extended to October 15, 2009. All LSAMP participants must meet with a faculty academic advisor and file a new annual academic plan each year of participation -- NO EXCEPTIONS.
